In my quest to become a portrait photographer I bribed my little sister Khalli to be my model. These pictures are amazing to her credit! She is the most beautiful girl I know inside and out. Her smile and eyes light up my heart and I am so thankful to be her big sis. I love you Khalli Danielle and thank you for putting up with me and my camera!

Gone Sailing
Sophie and Ryan own a boat and kindly took me sailing on Wednesday night! We sailed into the sunset although we never made it into the ocean. The channel was good enough for us! Koda LOVED it and apparently behaved better than some previous passengers..haha... One of the boats that we passed in the channel belonged to a princess and was equipped with four levels, a helicopter, 2 pools, a glass garage with ferraris inside! On a boat! It was incredible. Maybe it is for sale?

Fourth of July
I spent the fourth of July at home in Danville with my family and my Grandparents. I only get to see Grandpa Andy and Grandma Joanne every other year so it was such a treat to spend a whole weekend with them. We watched the fireworks from the Chevron parking lot and threw the football around before the show. We went swimming, had bbqs and just enjoyed each others company. Happy Fourth!!

Malibu
Last week Brandon, Blake, Tim and I took a ride up the coast to Malibu. They have an awesome state beach where dogs and a cool can of beer can accompany your developing tan lines. Koda (our new little puppy) wasn't sure how he felt about the crashing waves, but he was keen on his inate ability to dig! He loved playing in the sand and we got an equally good laugh out of watching him. He met a couple of doggie friends and eventually ventured into the water... Maybe one day we can get him to swim!

Joshua Tree
This past weekend Grant, Brandon, Mary and I decided we needed a camping trip. We threw around the idea of going to the Grand Canyon, but since we didn't have much time, we chose Joshua Tree. This decision turned out to be a great one! We arrived on Sunday night after the sun had long set. We drove in by the moonlight with the stars illuminating the clear night sky. We found a camp sight in the area called Jumbo Rocks. We were surrounded by large rock formations that we climbed and explored until we decided to build a night fire. On Monday morning we went for a 7 mile hike through the desert terrain. We saw many different types of plants, trees, and rocks, but not much life. It was a beautiful sunny day which made for a very relaxing hike. We returned to the camp site and made another fire. We laughed most of the night and were surprised our neighbors didn't either join us or scold us! We left the next morning, although we all wanted to stay! On to the next adventure.....
